SOME QUESTIONS WE ARE OFTEN ASKED...
How does you service work?
Once you arrive and enter the studio for your appointment time, you will receive a warm welcome and your furry friend will receive a small natural dog treat. We will have a discussion regarding your dog’s haircut requirements and we will also ask a little bit about how your dog is feeling, and whether there are any health concerns we need to be aware of. You will then be given an estimate on how long the groom will take and we will take a phone number for contact. Once we have this information, you will leave, and the grooming will begin. Your dog will be bathed, dried, pampered and given the service requested. You will then receive a phone call to let you know when your dog is ready for pick up.
What areas do you service?
We service all of Okotoks and surrounding areas (High River, Diamond Valley, Foothills). We are also within a 15-20 minute drive from the South of Calgary.
How often should my dog be groomed?
We recommend every 4-6 weeks for full grooming and 8-12 weeks for de-shedding. Nail trims should be performed once per month.
Can I stay with my dog during the grooming process?
No, we do not allow pet owners to stay with their dog during the grooming process. We have found that having the owner present can be distracting for the dog and therefore can make the process very difficult. Please do not knock on our door while the grooming process is underway. Please text us and we will reply ASAP!
How can I prepare my dog for grooming?
We suggest for you to please keep your dog’s vaccinations up to date as well as ensuring they are in good health before the groom. Regular handling of paws and practicing brushing at home is beneficial to help with the process.
Does my dog need to go to the bathroom before grooming?
Please toilet your dog before entering the salon, this will make sure your dog is comfortable while being groomed and it can help reduce any mess in the studio. (We are fully prepared in case accidents happen!)
Will my dog be crated?
All dogs are hand dried, not kennel dried like some major stores. Your dog may be crated in a large comfortable crate to keep them safe while waiting to be picked up. You will receive a pick up call 10 minutes before your dog is ready. Please pick up your dog within 30 minutes of your pick up call. * Failure to pick up within a reasonable time with result in a late pick up ‘dog sitting’ fee of $10+.
What if I am late for my appointment?
If you are running late for your appointment, please call us as soon as possible to ensure that we can still accommodate you. If you are more than 15 minutes late, we may not have sufficient time to carry out the grooming package requested. This will result in your appointment being cancelled, and a same day cancellation fee of $35 will be required to be paid before any further appointments can be made.
What if I miss my appointment?
Please cancel or reschedule your appointment within 24 hours of your appointment time. Failure to contact within this time will result in a same day cancellation fee of $35. ‘No shows’, will result in a $50 fee. This must be paid prior to booking any further appointments.
